Referred to as the Nobel Prize of pharmaceutical research, it recognizes the efforts and achievements of pharmaceutical research and development. The Prix Galien Canada is a branch of Innovation Life Canada.

Prix Galien - 2012 Research Award

The 2012 edition of the Prix Galien - Research Award will be held in fall 2012.

The Prix Galien Research is open to any individual or team of researchers who has been involved for at least the last five years in biopharmaceutical research, making a substantial contribution to the diagnosis, prevention or treatment of diseases. Candidates from academia, healthcare institutions, research centers and pharmaceutical industry are also eligible. More »


Prix Galien - 2012 Innovative Product Award

The Prix Galien - 2012 Innovative Product Award will be presented in fall 2012.
The Prix Galien for Innovative Product is awarded to a drug on the Canadian market for more than 12 months but less than 36 and judged by the jury to have the most significant overall contribution to patient care in Canada in terms of efficacy, safety, benefits and innovation. More »

Dr. Jacques Turgeon joins  the Board of Directors of Innovation Life Canada.

 

Dr. Jacques Turgeon is the Director of Research at the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal. From 2005-2007 he was Vice-Rector — Research, Université de Montréal and from 2000-2005, he has served as Dean of the Faculté de pharmacie, Université de Montréal. He received his Bachelor degree in Pharmacy in 1983 from Laval University in Quebec city followed by an M.Sc. degree in pharmacokinetics and a Ph.D. degree in drug metabolism from the same institution in 1985 and 1988, respectively. He completed post- doctoral studies from 1988 to 1990 in the department of Clinical Pharmacology, Vanderbilt University in Nashville, U.S.A., under the supervision of Dr. Dan M. Roden.
